SIMON RECOMMENDS:
"Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows"
by JK Rowling

Katy's gotten quite a few queries as to whether or not Išve read the last Harry Potter book. Well, of course I did.

The final installment in JK Rowling's epic saga is easily the best book in the series for me. The excitement and action begins on the first page and except for a few brief lulls, doesn't let up until the climax of the book on the last pages. We all know what's going to happen, but that doesn't make this any less riveting.

"Deathly Hallows" deals with very dark themes, as the man that has always been present in the boy wizard finally stands up and shows himself. The book would have worked pretty much just as well without the Epilogue, but I think the author wanted to convey a sense of security, particularly for younger readers; for me, it served its purpose. As far as I am concerned, Ms Rowling has definitely saved the best for last.
