We’re delighted to announce that Duran Duran and Kasabian will be joining us our nine award winners at the O2 Silver Clef Lunch on 3 July.

In celebration of a career spanning 35 years, boasting 14 singles in the Top 10 UK Singles Chart, 21 in the Billboard Hot 100 and more than 120 million records sold worldwide, Duran Duran will be awarded the highly coveted Spotify Lifetime Achievement Award. Considered by many to be one of the UK’s most famous and iconic exports, Duran Duran can now add this award to their endless list of accolades that include Grammys, MTV Awards, Ivor Novellos, Brits, a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, recognition as Style Icons from the City of Milan, and six other Lifetime Achievement Awards from GQ, Q Magazine, the Brits, MTV, the Ivor Novellos and the Spanish Ondas. On receiving their Spotify Lifetime Achievement award, Duran Duran said, “It’s truly an honour to be recognised by Nordoff Robbins, a charity which uses music to help so many people. As musicians, we believe deeply in the power of music and all that Nordoff Robbins music therapy does on a daily basis. A couple of weeks ago we finished our 14th studio album – which will be released in September. After 35 years of making music together we are as inspired today as we were when we first started out. We consider ourselves extremely lucky to have been afforded the opportunity to do what we wanted to do with our lives. Thanks so much for choosing us as the winner of the Spotify Lifetime Achievement Award.”

Kasabian exploded onto the music scene in 1997 and have since released five critically acclaimed studio albums. They are well known for being commended for their live performances, frequently named 'Best Live Band' at awards ceremonies and now will be awarded Royal Albert Hall Best Band at the O2 Silver Clef Awards. On their award Kasabian said, “We’ve admired Nordoff Robbins' work for some years now and are honoured to be receiving the Royal Albert Hall Best Band Award at the O2 Silver Clef Lunch. As musicians, it means a lot to us to be recognised by a charity which does such great work using music to help people.”

They will be joining James Bay, who will win Jack Daniel’s Best Newcomer, Jake Bugg, AEG Live Best Male, Rita Ora, Vevo Best Female, Mark Ronson, American Express Innovation Award, Primal Scream, Investec Icon Award, Iron Maiden, O2 Silver Clef Award and Il Divo who will be awarded the PPL Classical Award.
