Duran Duran might be most heavily associated with ’80s synth-pop, but did you know they’ve been going strong ever since? Far from a mere throwback act, the band’s done an admirable job experimenting with new sounds while retaining its core sensibility.

For the band’s 14th album Paper Gods, the beloved Brits brought in a range of collaborators including Janelle Monáe, John Frusciante, and even Lindsay Lohan(?!). Now they’ve released a collaboration with Canadian pop artist Kiesza called “Last Night in the City.”

For this glittering disco track about “our last night in the city” — who hasn’t wanted to make one of those count? — Kiesza provided her powerful belt as a counterpoint to Simon Le Bon’s croon. “We’re looking forward to having her in the video,” notes Le Bon in a featurette about the song’s creation. “I want her to dance, though.” Judging from her perfect one-shot video for “Hideaway“, that shouldn’t be too much of a problem.
