Isle of Wight Festival 2020 line-up: Lionel Richie, Lewis Capaldi and Duran Duran among confirmed headliners

Each year, hundreds of thousands of music lovers descend on the town of Newport for the Isle of Wight Festival.

Offering revellers a selection of rock and pop acts, the festival attracts an eclectic audience who pitch up for three days of fun.

Now, organisers have confirmed the first three headline acts for next year – Lewis Capaldi, Duran Duran and Lionel Richie.

What date is the Isle of Wight Festival 2020?

The Isle of Wight Festival will be held from 11-14 June.

The festival first started back in 1968, initially as a counterculture music event.

Who are the headliners?

Festival organisers have announced Lionel Richie, Duran Duran & Lewis Capaldi as headliners.

Joining them on the main stage are the Chemical Brothers and Snow Patrol.

Who else is in the 2020 line-up?

Other acts that have been confirmed include Becky Hill, Dido, Example, Happy Mondays, James Arthur, JC Stewart, Kaiser Chiefs, Maisie Peters, Primal Scream, Sam Fender, Shed Seven, Sigma (DJ set), Supergrass and The Manor.

When do tickets go on sale for Isle of Wight Festival 2020?

For those looking to attend next year’s event, tickets go on sale at 9am on Friday 6 December, 2019.

Weekend admission for adults is priced at £185, whereas students have a discounted price of £170.

Children between the ages of 6-12 cost £5, and tickets for teens are priced at £165.
