Duran Duran showed they are still a class act with an energetic performance on a US music awards show.

The 80s pioneers performed two songs at the American Music Awards at the Nokia Theatre in LA.

Their first was current single, ‘Falling Down,’ produced by Justin Timberlake. They then followed that up with classic hit ‘Hungry Like The Wolf,’ as the audience screamed in adulation.

Lead singer, Simon Le Bon, 49, was in fine voice during both performances. He thanked the crowd, as they showed their appreciation with loud cheers when they finished their two-song set. He was wearing a pair of skinny jeans, and a black jacket during the performance.

Duran Duran were the most commercially successful of the New Romantic bands of the 80s, having sold more than 85 million records. They were formed in 1978 by John Taylor (bass) and Nick Rhodes (keyboards) in Birmingham.

Their new album, Red Carpet Massacre was released November 12
