    Simon participates in the Tour Auto Rally 2015 from April 20th through April 25th. Simon will be the co-driver on “P,” a Jaguar XK120, which is the oldest car in the Rally. He and his co-driver will leave Paris for the 2000 mile journey to Biarritz.

  • Rio remastered reissue

    June 22, 2015

    Warner Brothers Records reissues the remastered version of RIO that EMI had put out in 2009. A double-disc deluxe edition expands the original 1982 release with Demos, alternative mixes and non-album tracks, while a single-disc version is also be available, both on June 22.

    On June 24, iTunes put PAPER GODS up for pre-sale, allowing fans to immediately download the single “Pressure Off” featuring Janelle Monae and Nile Rodgers when they buy the album in advance in the United States. The single comes out in the UK on July 15.

    Duran Duran perform at a special “4th of July” party on July 2 at the home of the US Ambassador to the UK, Matthew Barzun, who has been very vocal about his appreciation for the band. It is also the first time the band play “Pressure Off” live.

  • Spotify UK awards the band

    The band is awarded the Spotify UK Silver Clef Lifetime Achievement Award by the Nordoff Robbins charity, presented by Mark Ronson. The luncheon and award show is held at the Grovesnor House Hotel in London. In addition, the band bid £12,000 (or $18,700) for a charity package put up by Mark that includes a DJ Lesson, signed turntable and tickets to one of his UK shows.
