Duran Duran, a-ha, Xutos & Pontapés and Bush complete Rock and Rio Lisboa’s Sunday, June 27 lineup

The lineup for Rock in Rio Lisboa’s Main Stage on June 27 is now complete! The stellar soundtrack for the third day of the festival has Duran Duran taking over the City of Rock, returning to Portugal to headline the Main Stage, 15 years after their last concert in the country. But the British music icons won’t be the only major band on the Sunday lineup. a-ha will also perform on the Main Stage, making this their first show in Portugal ever!

The same day, rock band Xutos & Pontapés are also performing, returning as the only Portuguese music group on the festival lineup since its beginning in 2004. The Main Stage audience on June 27 will also have the opportunity to hear the hits by British band Bush, including “Swallowed” and “The Chemical Between Us”,amongst others.

Rock in Rio Lisboa’s 9th edition will be held at Bela Vista Park, on June 20, 21, 27 and 28. Past performers who have graced the Main Stage over the years include Foo Fighters, Post Malone, Black Eyed Peas, The National, Liam Gallagher, Camila Cabello, and Anitta.

Galp Music Valley Stage will present a variety of musical genres from rock to pop, and funk to EDM, welcoming on stage international artists such as Incubus, Ney Matogrosso and El Columpio Asesino, together with major national acts such as Delfins, Sam The Kid, and The Black Mamba, with music phenomenons Bárbara Tinoco, Plutónio, Iza, and Giulia Be, among others.

On June 27, at Rock in Rio’s Main Stage, people will be able to sing along to hits from across Duran Duran’s impressive four decades-long career such as “Rio,” “Save a Prayer,” “Ordinary World” and “Pressure Off.” This will be the first performance at the festival for singer Simon Le Bon, keyboardist Nick Rhodes, bassist John Taylor and drummer Roger Taylor. The band has sold more than 100 million records, had 18 American hit singles, 21 UK Top 20 tunes and have continued to perform to huge concert audiences around the world since they first formed in 1980. This June, Duran Duran will appear at Bela Vista Park for what will certainly be a memorable and epic show.

Tickets for Rock in Rio Lisboa 2020 are on sale at the usual outlets – FNAC (online and stores), Galp, Blueticket, Ticketline and international partners. The complete list is available on the festival’s official site and this year, for the first time, fans can also buy their tickets through the site at Daily tickets are priced at 69€ and weekend passes at 112€.
